I don't honestly remember when I first decided I wanted to be a professor. I remember thinking as a kid that having the summers off forever was an awesome idea, of course, but it wasn't until I was older that I discovered the joy of getting up in front of a room full of people and attempting to make them as excited about something as I was. I love being able to show people how amazing these subjects can be, batting ideas back and forth and getting them engaged in real conversations about fascinating topics.
The vast majority of my teaching experience so far has been gained while a graduate student at MIT. Now, as a researcher at Microsoft, I lecture whenever I can in a variety of courses and at a number of different conferences. (Unfortunately, due to the nature of corporate America, I'm unable to include internal presentations here hence the precipitous drop-off in listed talks in 2010.) Below is a list of my recent public appearances, with links to downloadable Keynote or PowerPoint decks wherever possible.
