My previous post moaned about not having blogged for a month, and now this post arrives a week later.  I&#8217;ve been reading a lot of stuff that I want to get out of my inbox (and my browser windows) and share some thoughts about, and I basically need to make more pots.  More on that oddball phrase in a minute, but first up on my to-share list, courtesy of MediaBistro&#8217;s GalleyCat, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediabistro.com\/galleycat\/authors\/days_of_poetry_and_punk_rock_115705.asp\">the following interview<\/a> with poet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eileenmyles.com\/\">Eileen Myles<\/a>, reflecting on the heyday of poetry and punk rock in New York in the 1970s&#8230;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><object classid=\"clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000\" width=\"437\" height=\"333\" id=\"viddler\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.viddler.com\/player\/62c37d1e\/\" \/><param name=\"allowScriptAccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><\/object><\/div>\n<p>That&#8217;s something I miss &#8211; the sense of poetry as dangerous, vibrant, alive, cutting-edge and some basically <i>serious shit.<\/i>  As Myles notes, it made a comeback for a while in the 90s, but I think we&#8217;ve lost it again.
