{"id":1762,"date":"2009-01-30T11:49:08","date_gmt":"2009-01-30T11:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.geoffreylong.com\/wordpress\/?p=1762"},"modified":"2009-01-30T11:49:08","modified_gmt":"2009-01-30T11:49:08","slug":"an-old-dream-realized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.geoffreylong.com\/wordpress\/archives\/1762","title":{"rendered":"An old dream realized."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"totq_illustration\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tohubohuproductions.com\/big_lie.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.geoffreylong.com\/images\/journal\/big_lie_one_sheet.jpg\" alt=\"The Big Lie That Solves Everything\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Thanks to the hard work of my old friend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coughlan.us\">Bill Coughlan<\/a> and our film troupe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tohubohuproductions.com\">Tohubohu Productions<\/a>, I have recently had an old dream realized.<br \/>\nI am now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm3274439\/\">in the IMDB<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe film that got me there is <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geoffreylong.com\/portfolio\/video\/biglie.php\">The Big Lie That Solves Everything<\/a>,<\/i> the third short film I produced with Tohubohu and our entry for the 48 Hour Film Festival in Washington, DC back in 2005.  I gotta say, four years later and I <i>still<\/i> love this movie.  In a way, it&#8217;s almost a modern-day mashup of the Bible and <i>Arabian Nights<\/i> &#150; you can see it in its entirety at the link above, or check out the movie, its trailer and its one-sheet posters at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tohubohuproductions.com\/big_lie.html\">its page on the Tohobuhu site<\/a>.<br \/>\nAt some point I&#8217;ll have a <i>second<\/i> film on my profile for my work on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/NEIL-GAIMAN-LIVE-AT-MIT\/dp\/B001O4GYLA\/\"><i>Neil Gaiman Live at MIT &#8211; the Julius Schwartz Lecture<\/i><\/a> DVD, but right now I&#8217;m totally tickled to be on there at all.<br \/>\nToo.  Dang.
