{"id":1473,"date":"2007-05-08T12:04:10","date_gmt":"2007-05-08T12:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.geoffreylong.com\/wordpress\/?p=1473"},"modified":"2007-05-08T12:04:10","modified_gmt":"2007-05-08T12:04:10","slug":"hello-goodbye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.geoffreylong.com\/wordpress\/archives\/1473","title":{"rendered":"Hello goodbye."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I haven&#8217;t written much about this here, but lately I&#8217;ve been mourning the loss of several of my favorite little lights: the largely introspective comic strips <a title=\"m@b ::  mattbcomic.com  ::  by Matthew Blackett  ::  weekly comic strip and issue archives\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mattbcomic.com\/\">m@b<\/a> by Matthew Blackett, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brunostrip.com\/bruno.html\">Bruno<\/a> by Christopher Baldwin.  Also, the largely irreverent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.machall.com\">Mac Hall<\/a> has changed into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.threepanelsoul.com\/\">Three Panel Soul<\/a>, which seems to be struggling to regain its cheerfulness, even <i>before<\/i> all the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fleen.com\/archives\/2007\/05\/04\/interview-with-the-vampire-terror-suspect\/\">crap went down<\/a>.<br \/>\nSome other strips have been taking their place, kind of &#150; most notably the beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/comics\/allovercoffee\/\">All Over Coffee<\/a> and the deeply surreal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asofterworld.com\/\">A Softer World<\/a>, but it&#8217;s not quite the same.  I don&#8217;t know how I&#8217;ll cope if <a href=\"http:\/\/www.achewood.com\/\">Achewood<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scarygoround.com\/\">Scary-Go-Round<\/a> ever fold, or, for that matter, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.questionablecontent.net\/index.php\">Questionable Content<\/a>.  And no, Shannon, I <i>still<\/i> haven&#8217;t quite gotten into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sluggy.com\/\">Sluggy Freelance<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I haven&#8217;t written much about this here, but lately I&#8217;ve been mourning the loss of several of my favorite little lights: the largely introspective comic strips m@b by Matthew Blackett, and Bruno by Christopher Baldwin.
