Somehow he always knew just the right combination of insightful advice and <i>laissez-faire,<\/i> &#8220;let him figure it out on his own&#8221; type of guidance to keep me on the right path growing up without my ever resenting him or feeling the need to rebel.  I still look up to my Dad, turn to him for advice and thoroughly enjoy the time we spend together talking about cars, business or life in general.  Here&#8217;s to you, Dad.
